Even 30 years after the end of the nuclear war, the surviving automated systems of the armies of states long since gone into history continue to carry out the directives embedded in them.
One self-propelled defense system frequently encountered in the border regions of Alaska — the ARISS — is a fairly compact infantry support machine, by the standards of first-generation drones.
The base Mark I modification, produced by the American military-industrial giant Stein & Margarett Company in 2018, is armed with a 30 mm cannon and a minigun.
The Mark II and Mark III modifications are equipped with a more advanced (at the time of their creation) command unit that increases reaction speed to scanner data, and feature improved optics and a greater number of sensors.
The Mark II carries a 30 mm weapon and a heavy-caliber machine gun that is more accurate than the minigun.
The Mark III is equipped with a long-range sniper rifle and a minigun for controlling combat at close distance; the weapon module is replaced by a powerful radio installation that allows it to coordinate the actions of other drones and send up-to-date operational data to the troops.
