Hideous to Behold

5 February 2023

Dear community, this time we want to tell you about the preparations for the transition to the second stage of alpha testing, and to show you the concept art and renders of a new variation of the mutant ripper.

Let’s start with the main thing. As of today, the gradual transition to the second stage of the closed alpha test begins.

We are beginning to add a number of testers to the new version of the game, which uses a globally updated engine.

The new version of the engine, which we worked on in parallel throughout almost all of 2022, opens the way for us to create complex mechanics faster and to add new types of graphical effects to the game. In addition, from now on all of our efforts will be focused on adding mechanics and content and fixing bugs, which will speed up the game’s development even further.

In connection with the transition to the updated version of the game, the approval of submitted applications to take part in the closed test will return to the old scheme. Applications will be reviewed once every 2–2.5 weeks, so that each new wave of testers receives a fresh version, with refinements and bug fixes.

Those who have supported the game in the development Support Shop are added to the test, as before, within 24 hours.

Also, allow us to introduce a new enemy to you — the Spiked Ripper.

Due to a mutation of the Australian virus, some of the infected underwent additional painful changes to their bodies. On the arms, legs, back, and chest of the unfortunate ones, bony growths with sharp teeth appeared, digging into the flesh.

However, those rippers that managed to survive the metamorphoses acquired fairly durable bio-armor, protecting them from many types of damage.

In addition to the concept art, we are also publishing renders of the ripper and the female version of the Spiked Ripper.

Enjoy!

That concludes this news update.
