We present to your attention a video that includes a demonstration of the updated lighting in Vault ED-17 and a video report from the New Year’s Massacre Festival event. The clip also features a new fragment of the soundtrack.

From now on, the location maps will use various light sources with different colors, brightness, and light direction, as well as flickering light sources.

The New Year’s event, with the chance to obtain a unique weapon — the SEC NY-23 Pistol — lasted a little over two weeks. During this time, we and the testers managed to check the behavior of a significant number of mobs and light sources on one large map, and to introduce fixes for future alpha versions.

A huge thank you to the testing participants for their willingness to help us — the hunt for bugs did not stop even during the holidays.

The new musical composition by Nobody’s Nail Machine, heard in the video, is the theme for the battle with one of the bosses of the starting location. This track is made in the Industrial genre.

We would also like to note that for the first time our video was released with voiceover. The text of the clip was read by a good friend of ours — Vlad Split.
